If you look up the word "Style" in a dictionary you will probably be amazed by the tremendous assortment of ways with which this noun can be interpreted. When I use the word in connection with my business and the overall world of fashion design I also keep all engagements of the word in mind but I refer in particular to the "manners", "sophistication", "elegance" and "true quality" elements of the word.

With the great variety of fashion trends that are out there in the world it is important to me that every man and, in particular, every woman finds his or her personal style. Through many years of experience I believe I have developed a feel for what is the best for my clients and although I can always advise a client as to what is good for her, the "choice" must be hers. To surpass in this occupation, whilst always aiming for perfection, one requires a very real sense for colours and forms, a sense which I certainly believe cannot be learnt. I always work to select the most beautiful and advantageous cuts for my clients. It is wonderful every time a client and I find the strengths and, perhaps, some weak points of her body and we can therefore select exactly that dress or costume in which she looks breathtaking and feels totally comfortable and confident. A well chosen costume should be able to blend into the mood of the day and even to dictate that mood, if so required by the client.

Travelling to the Haute Couture shows in Paris twice a year enables me to keep myself fully up to date as to what the topical fashion trends are for the coming season. In this way I not only travel to one of my favourite cities in the world but I am also able to keep my finger very much on the pulse!

With me, one will always find a very large but wholly exclusive collection which ranges from cocktail dresses to wedding dresses, from the most elegant city fashion to the most extravagant Ball gowns. For the lovers of traditional costumes among my clients, I have also created a variety of national dresses for many of them.

What makes style? - I say everyone is born with at least a sense of style!

I believe that childhood and youth today are more difficult to master than life from, say, 30 onwards. Knowledge, experience, distance, generosity to ones self as well as to others, patience and appreciation of time are just some of the things that make up a persons personality. Another fundamental aspect of a personality is the element of Style and how this is translated by a person. Sadly, various industries have tried to dictate a Style and impose this upon people. I believe that this is very dangerous as it stops the individual Style of each person from breaking out. I would also say that many people, particularly the younger generations, have a problem in translating their Style and this is often wrongly interpreted in the assumption that this individual has no Style at all. I love my personal Style and I am very proud of it too but I would and should never pressure any client to adopt it as theirs. I can only advise and help to manage a persons Style but the individuality is the important part of the quality.
